The bridge and boardwalk have been built in the centre of a Kauri Forest and is a most attractive and interesting walk.     The bridge itself is colloquially known as the "Tree Tops" bridge, as it is 20m above the lowest point of the valley it spans; providing excellent views of the massive trees of the surrounding forest.

The bridge, with its boardwalk approaches, all have the R-Grip anti-slip product applied and due to the tracks popularity, has withstood the passage of over 60,000 people in the first 3 months since opening.

The herringbone placement of the bridge decking showcase how the R-Grip anti-slip product can enhance the overall aesthetics and has been widely commented on by the general public.
